It Will Certainly Warm A Medium Sized Room

I use the Air King 8605 to raise the room temperature of my bedroom from 60 degrees to 70 degrees. It works great! There's no fan, so it's noiseless. The upper grate does get hot. I can put my hand on it, without getting burned, but I'd avoid putting it anywhere where small children might touch it. It does put out over 5000 BTUs of heat when turned all the way up, so be prepared for your electric meter to spin.

Quiet

I have four of these. They are quiet and work well. In fact, they are silent. We use them to heat bedrooms when using the pellet stove in the main part of the home. The thermostat works well, but doesn't tell you the specific temperature, but once you find the correct setting you just leave it. Excellent heater. Nice looking. Quiet--in fact, silent.

Nice unit, not in the way, completely quiet

Purchased at Sears using their online order for work, eliminates the cold draft near our director's doorway in the morning, works very well and quietly does its job, looks nice too, a good design.
