LifeSmart Infrared Quartz Fireplace Heater

This heater is just awesome. We are total electric and this infrared heater makes the rooms so much warmer without taking the humidity out of the air. This is our second purchase of a LifeSmart heater, and I would honestly not buy another brand. We don't use our baseboard electric at all now. We have had our first one for 2 years, which we now put upstairs, and just purchased this one last month. It's stylish, looks excellent in our living room, and the flames seem so real.
I would highly recommend to anyone that wants even, cozy heating from floor to ceiling.

Lovely heater but...

This is a great heater and very realistic. Here's why I gave it 4 stars: If you have high ceilings you have to be fairly close to it to feel the heat and its kind of short (might me a good thing so it won't tip over), cord is short. You cannot plug this in to anything but the wall and I wish the cord was longer. The pluses are this heater is cool to the touch, very pretty and moves around easily over burber carpet and floor. The flame is very realistic.

Love this fireplace!

With so many choices out there for indoor fireplaces, I researched thoroughly for one that would meet my needs and the Lifesmart 1000 Infrared is it. It was exactly the size I needed and provides just the right amount of heat with the blower and adjustable thermostat. Despite the heat that it supplies, the sides of the fireplace do NOT feel hot to the touch even after running for hours. I love the way it looks, too. To make the illusion more realistic for me, I purchased two wood-scented candles that "crackle" a bit. For me, it is the perfect accent in my living room.
